I've just realised that I haven't blogged in a long time, and I think I'll try to re-ignite the habit. More importantly, I realised that if I didn't write this, or any subsequent posts, my latest child, Adam Joe Bean, may look back on this site in years to come, and feel sadness at not being mentioned.

Now, even if I never blog again, he'll know how much I love him, how proud of him I am already, and how pleased I am to have him in our world.

Welcome Adam.

iPhone 4 critique...

The iPhone 4 was released yesterday amidst an astonishing social backlash.  As always, had the most incisive comment on the Web.

The Daily Mash has yet another classic article, putting the whole General Election debacle into  sharp relief, for those who can't be arsed to follow the link, this statement sums up the UK Political scene :
"Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg said Mr Brown's statement 'smoothed the way towards a stable government' involving an as yet unidentified prime minister, a collection of lying, two-faced whores, some Welsh, Scottish, Irish and possibly Cornish nationalists, a lady from Brighton who drives a car made of yeast, as well as the Roly Polys, the Wurzels and the Average White Band"
If you were in any doubt as to how stupid its all become, watch a couple of our noble leaders engaged in intelligent debate....

Pat is my oldest friend and Godfather to both my (current) kids. We miss him terribly, so here's something to put a smile on your face - Mr Vigers would be proud!

Gem of Wisdom

They happen all too rarely these days, so when my addled brain stumbles upon a swift, witty or even plain coherent response, they are probably worth noting.

Whilst trying to elicit a dinner guest's preference for main course this evening, I suddenly came upon the ideal statement for the situation.

"I'd rather cook what you wanted to eat, than you eat what I wanted to cook."

I thought it was quite cool, but I suspect Marcus and Arthur missed it due to someone on Jackass doing themselves a mischief.

So they got Packet Enchiladas. That'll teach 'em.
